any worth to a very nice, minimal pits, stock length 64 keyed axle housing for restoration purposes ? WIW ? if scrap, i'll keep it to cut down. TIA as always.

In my experience, zero value as is.

I'd stored, advertised and hauled around 62-64 rear axle assemblies with no interest at all. I understood the 62 was a unique width, but that doesn't appear to mean anything either.

Most recent one I had I just torched the housing to get the axles out of the way and remove the 3rd member as it was a 3:91 gear. That sold right away. Couldn't move it complete.

Worth something as a clean housing if you cut it down in my opinion.

65 housings are another story. Sell every one I get my hands on with a minimum of fuss.
Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way

iagree Only value is for narrowing.
I'm supposed to respect my elders, but its getting harder and harder for me to find one now.
