I've been trying to determine if a 5.7 hemi can mate to a small block 727 pushbutton. Has anyone tried this?

It will bolt right up. You just need the correct flex plate.

Are the bolts that go into the block metric?

you also need that thin spacer that goes to the block---or there is a new torque converter being made to allow for that thickness....

What's the thickness? I assume a mid-plate could take care of this?

It will bolt right up. You just need the correct flex plate.

Doesn't the right flex plate eliminate the need for any spacers?

some of the first flex plate conversions used a spacer between the block and trans.because the flex plate was flat.

the spacer looks like 3/64? and is used on the 5.7 and the 4.7-----a friend has done 4 of these into older mopars and has bought these off ebay i believe----i grabbed a junkyard one for him and he announced he got a torque converter that was made to delete the need for that spacer....someone here must be up on it......mopar part number 53032454AA.

Related question - Are you planning to retain the pushbuttons to shift the trans ?

I would be interested in knowing what cable set-up you're using to connect the pushbutton to the trans.
