Ok with all the head flow numbers floating around what is the opinion on the best head to use. I have a 6.1 block but no heads. I am building a 4.080x4.080 stroker custom JE pistons shooting for 13.1 + compression with the goal of 750+ HP. This will be a carbureted setup with a Ritter intake I have the intake already. Starting from scratch on the heads what does everyone think ??

For the money I like Thiteks for that setup.

The Thiteks are so nice and well done that if I had the money, I would buy them.

The edelbrocks look nice. Might need to cut spring seat for dual valve spring.

I have seen the drag pack heads on Barton's hemi. Its just an Apache head with minimal amount of cnc work done in the ports. Barton said he made 840hp with the older .640 spec dp cam. The record motor was over 900hp.

I think the key to huge hp is spintron testing. David gave me a 15min lesson on spintron charts and Im grateful he did that

I am really considering the edelbrocks they look like the best bang for the buck. What do thiteks cost?

A good set of Eagles will get you to 700, but Apache will get you in the 750+800 range.
6.1 heads are starting to come down in prices. not much call for them after the Eagles starting hitting the streets.

We bought 2 Trend Spintron 5000's over the spring, haven't a lot of time to work with them.

6.1 vs Eagle on 5.7 based build? Which one and why?

On a stock 5.7 for street 6.1
On a stock 5.7 for track eagle

More comp out of eagle head
