Using a Viper V10 is a bit dated. The Hellcat's 6.2 would have been a better choice for several reasons.

But those wheels and tires just look so out of place on that era car.

I didn't know they made rubber bands that big, did they decide to use a big serpentine belt for rubber?

The article in MOpar Action states that the wheels ere built from huge chunks of Swedish aluminum, whittled down to size. The owner said he wanted the car to emulate the huge wheel "Hot Wheel" cartoon look.

THink so? How hard is it to have the entire 14" wheel show? Even a 15" wheel?

Its not that hard,I'm old school,we raise our Chargers up,not lower them. Your car looks fine, the 68 this thread is about has 1/3 of the rim in the fenderwells

Doesn't even look like there is any rubber on the rims. Rims are too big.

I like the color, but that's where it ends. Who the hell wants a Viper V10 in anything? Oversized and underperforming.
But, it's a show car, it draws a crowd, and it does have a lot of money/time/work/craftsmanship in it. I can appreciate that, but I have no use for show poodles.

Don't like the wide body flaired fenders and quarters, the rims are way too big also.
Other than that it looks good.

The wheels look stupid, as does the front spoiler. All the aluminum inside just looks cheesy. The red looks like the same color as on granny's camry.

While I can appreciate the amount of work required, and can dig some of the body mods, the final execution and big tire look is horrendous...

Looks like the wheel wells were enlarged BIG time. I wonder if a smaller wheel / larger aspect ratio tire combo exists to make that look right?

Different just for the sake of being different. Not good, just different. And meant to be looked at, not driven. Totally opposite of the car's original intent.

Here is my 73 Charger that I drive daily it has 295 50 15 Mickey Thompson tires on 15x10 Weld wheel pro stars. The look is not that hard to achieve. My 70 Charger convertible has 15x10 rallye wheels with 295 50 15 BFG radial TA tires and it has the same stance and about the same space between the wheel well and the tires.

Wheels are easy to change out. No biggie.

I'm more concerned on the interior.

Customs often look dated in 5+ years, mainly due to over the top swoopy interiors.

All that work, and you put in a cheapish 7x2 single DIN radio? Either Double-DIN, or big screen, or hide it!

Remember that fad not too long ago to put huge amps/speakers in the trunk and everywhere?

Big wheels = Chip Foose. Typical SEMA car. Take something totally iconic that is styled perfectly, change it & ruin it.

What are they normally? An off road shop, cause that Buick sits too high.

Those were ugly years for Buick to start with (come to think of it, THAT hasn't changed... work ), and certainly their ugliest color.

That SAID... if you took those fugly wheels and stuck 'em BACK on the '82 Ghetto Cutlass they came off of, and put the factory wheels back on, you MIGHT have a decent $8k cruiser out of that. I have no use for an Obamamotorwerksmobile, old or new, but that's my take on it. twocents

p.s. - WHAT is that front seat upholstered in?! Astroturf?! puke Make it $7k
