Driving nothing to brag about, second round my .047 light was whacked by a .003, I ran it out to a 6.53 at 103.7, best numbers yet on my pump gas combo.

Smart setup
Only a fire jacket, and cheap gas equals many rounds per $$, not to mention a driveline that will outlive a more stressed package! If I ever have the miss fortune of hurting my current motor, I plan on a similar deal.

Thanks for the comments. This build has 56 runs on it and it was set up to be low maintenance and eventually streetable. I have changed the oil once and checked the plugs and valve lash twice with no changes. I have learned that 93 pump gas with 10% corn and aluminum heads likes to run a lot hotter than race gas. I can dial hard and usually be within .005. Last Saturday I was holding .02 and broke out trying to take the stripe.

Gotta love the Autumn air! Went to car club track rental today and ran 1/4 mile all-run race. Car ran 10.40 at 126 on last time run and first round race. Went red second round but legged it through 10.377 at 126.68.
