This sounds like some good news for the local Virginia racers. I went to the St Patrick Days Race there and had a great time.

Good to see. I like that place.

Darlington, Tulsa, VMP, plenty of others. Tracks owned, saved from closing, lousy management, or neglect, by well heeled racers. Royce Miller bought MIR years ago and the place prospered. Seems like it works out better than when the big investors scoop them up. They typically know nothing of the nuts and bolts of the sport and promptly run them into the ground.

Always good news when a track changes hands, and it will still be a race track. Support your local track. Don't have a car ready? Go watch for the day.

PDRA is in there this weekend. Gotta be cool to buy a racetrack, then go participate in a big event there.

I had heard Royce went in with him to buy it. One old time track in our neighborhood changed hands recently. Sumerduck, the owner of Colonial Beach has both now. A least they didn't fold up. 4 tracks in a 65 mile radius of me

Almost 400 cars in there this weekend for the PDRA race. Over 100 Top Sportsman cars. I like the PDRA, glad to see them do well.
