Whats the best gap beteen the pick up and the reluctor wheel?

.050-.080 are the MSD specs.

wow, that's way more than I was guessing. I think those are the same specs as the crank trigger sensor. The firecore distributor I had was .010". I only measured one reluctor tooth on my MSD and it measured .018". looks like I need to adjust it.

the reluctor in the distributor is only 20-30 if I remember right. 50-80 is for a crank trigger
