This has been a question in my mind for sometime. Looking for an A- Body battery, specifically 1971 and every manufacturer of a restoration battery will list the caps as yellow. I have several road test, and articles from back in the day and the 1971 Duster/Demon/Dart pictures I see show mostly green caps which also look somewhat smaller. Does anyone have information on if yellow caps are correct, or did anyone have one of these cars new and recall the cap color. A friend of mine bought a 1972 Duster 340 new, found an old pic and it shows green caps.

Thank you 6bblgt, that is interesting! I wonder if an H code car would come with the standard "51" battery and maybe colder climates would necessitate the heavier duty code "20" battery.
