I can't find a part # for the 1" adapter so I can test 4150's on my Dommy adapter and the one I was using was home made and had to return it.............

Which one did you order from Summit? I'm planning to run a 4150 on a 4500 intake (I have the intake and don't want to buy a new one, plus it has some extra porting done to it also). From the people I talked to so far I'm not sure its a good idea. Anyone else doing this and how is it working for you?

Debating whether I should break down and just buy a 4150 intake.

Which heads and intake are you running now?

I'm building a low deck 512. Planning to use the Trick Flow 270 heads. I have a Indy 400-3 single plan intake. It appears to have had some deep port work done to it (I don't know who or what exactly, bought it that way).

Since this will be a street/strip car (70/30) I thought I should use a 4150 carb. A friend of mine has a bunch of carb parts laying around so I'm building a mongrel carb from them. I have a 950 Proform body with a QF base. I need to buy some metering blocks for it. I was thinking maybe these https://www.summitracing.com/parts/qft-34-10qft/overview/ . I'd love to hear any recommendations.

I made my own. These were about 1/2 inch tall and put a dual pattern 4150 carb on a 4500 intake. I added some trick stuff to the backside with a pressure recovery groove and put a 7 degree taper in the bores.

Thats pretty slick. If I had a dual pattern carb I'd be asking where I could get one of those.

I've had a local machine shop change the bolt patterns on several intakes from 4500 to 4150
If you can fit and run one of the tapered 4150 to 4500 adapters on your intake in fit in your car they will add volume to the intake and probably pick up several HP going that way

This is what I used on my tunnel ram. Minor mods required. Ages 3 and up.

Got the 2" made by Dart but I flip it over just for running 4150's in the garage not driving but the BLP's I build have a dual pattern base plate. Cab, I run the Victor heavily ported by Ed Mosler and a 2" fully blended adapter.........
