My work truck gauges don't function correctly. The oil pegs when engine is started, then drifts to 0. Gas gauge only shows from full to just above half full when empty. Both gauges and sending units have been replaced. Any ideas? Thanks.

I was never too impressed with the reliability of the factory gauges. They are a small step above the idiot lights. That said, are you sure you actually have oil pressure when the motor gets warmed up? The last oil pressure gauge I had that did that was actually correct....

The gas gauge sounds like it has the wrong sending unit, or the float isn't moving like it should. Gene

Oil Gauge and sending unit are both new. Fuel guage and sending unit are also both new. Temp gauge seems to work fine.
