Looking at getting one of these programmers for my 07 5.9 we use for towing our 5th wheel. Being a noob to these, I see there are two different cases they come in. Are there any differences in how they perform or ease of use? I have found a couple of unlocked versions in both styles and not sure which one to get. Attached are pics of both.....

I don't know about the box, but the software can be updated. Whatever one you buy can be updated by going to the mads website. It does take a while to do the update.

Blue one is the older one...As noted, they are updated if you go on line. I have one on my truck and love it. Set it and forget it.
