Not mine, wish it was though. I bet that car would clean up amazingly well and should be left that way.

Correct. Scrambler was built on the smaller Rambler American platform.

That's in REALLY nice shape.

They didn't spend much time designing that instrument lay out did they?

I'd love to see the engine compartment and how complete it is. If it runs and yard drives it could be worth the $ as finding another one in that shape may not be easy. Those wheels can sell for $3000 a set alone. But its strong $ for a Machine. AMC prices have been steadily going up the last few years.

Ive ridden in a couple. These cars are quicker than you might think .

Buddy of mine used to own a scrambler Rambler. 390 4 spd.
That little car would fly.

IMO, its worth a look if your in the market. ( I'm not )
If it can clean up nice with no major resto work involved. Its worth that

I have always liked these cars. I older kid down the street from me growing up bought one when he was like 18 with this same red/white/blue paint scheme. I ran into him like 20 years later & he still had it.

It was originally an automatic car that has been converted to 4-speed.
That makes it less desireable

I guess you inquired about it? Sure looks to be a good car. I was wondering why it hadn't sold.

It seems like every Rebel Machine that I see is a stick, I guess they made them available in an automatic as well.

If you are going to buy a Machine, you have to be aware that the exhaust manifolds, intake manifold, and air cleaner are all special Machine only parts. Big bucks if they are missing. This one for example has the wrong air cleaner. It being a conversion to a manual explains why there is no smog equipment on the engine which all 390 manual transmissions had. But if it is indeed rust free (no readily available repop sheet metal), the rest of the car seems to be complete down to the wheels (again big bucks). If I was seriously in the market $26,000 isn't a bad starting point.
