1970 Charger. When headlights are closed the motor wants to keep running. Any ideas? I understand there's a limiter in the motor. Is there an adjustment that can be made on the motor?

The plate on the headlight door motor has limit switches on it . . . there is a cam rotates and opens or closes the limit switches . . .you can take it apart and see the operation. . . . sometimes the nylon gear with the headlight rod, gets chewed up and needs to be replaced, or the cam plate operating the limit switches somehow gets out of place . . . OR you can give it to someone to rebuild . . .

Just my 2 cents worth . . .good luck

Cheers

Mark
