has anyone bought one recently to find out at least in my case it does not fit into dash hole tight enough and has some movement with it even you tighten it real good, any ideas on how to stabilize it better?i thought two thin washers would do the trick but i have not found any with large enough holes to fit switch. thanks

69 uses a one year only diameter switch.

You probably have the 68 and older size switch.

The hole in the dash is much larger in 69 ... I believe I seen someone making an adapter to allow use of the common size in the larger hole.

Otherwise true 69 switches are pricey.

I guess he meant about the bezel nut and dash frame, not really the diameter, thinking on shim the assembly to get it tight to the dash frame

Maybe you could find something in the plumbing section or a nylon washer for a utility wheel or an O ring or something of that nature ?? Depot had those bin trays with sort of odd spacers etc

Find a washer with the correct outside diameter and enlarge the hole with a round file or a rotary file in a drill or die grinder.

I'm agreed one the pluming nylon washers or an O ring... they will mold to the diameter and thickness easier without overthink the needed size
