Id like to know if M&H wiring carried by Year One are top quality products as ive been told they are. Are any other companys making complete wiring harnesses for 1972 Demons with 340 and 4-spd like OE Chrysler. N.O.S wiring is hard to find and super expensive. Im in Canada so the exchange rate is crazy. I know of a N.O.S forward headlight harness for my car and he wants $ 750.00 US for it which works out to be close to a $ 1,000.00 Canadian shiped and i have to replace all my wiring front to back. Thanks Moparts for free post great site.

From what I have seen M&H is the best. It's not perfect, but very, very good.

They are as close to oem as you can get.I have installed several and they are very high quality. The wait time can sometimes be long.

I've never had an issue with mine. It's always a good idea to compare the new harness with the original just to make sure all the wires are in the correct place. Also tug on the connectors to make sure none are loose.

The last harness I bought took a long time to get built. Year One had all the other harnesses in stock. That one harness took months. The car is all torn apart so it didn't matter. If I was trying to get the car done in a specific time frame, I would have been SOL though.

If you aren't in a hurry, wait until Year One has a 30% off sale. That will save you a good deal of money on an expensive wiring harness.

I have the Y1/M&H harness and agree it is a good harness. There are lots of choices for non-stock harness but not much stock replacement. I used the M&H harness to re-do my mostly engine compartment, mostly stock instrument panel and wiring and modified it somewhat for high current alternator and EFI. I was glad to have all the stock bits including pass compartment and instrument cluster referenced to the stock wiring diagrams.

Did th entire car, engine, under dash, rear, console. Good quality. My only issue was they didn't have a patch for the console tach.

I had a couple of small sub harnesses that I sent to M&H ( ten plus years ago) and they built them for me... up

Going to be doing the dash, engine and forward light harness in a week or so. I'll post the results if anyone is interested...

I have Evans in the engine bay, forward light, and transmission. The Dash and rear lights are M&H from Tom At R/t he gave me a deal. Try some venders that resell yearone stuff

The one drawback to the harnesses I got for my Duster from YO was that the underdash harness took 8 months to get. Held up my project. The taillight harness came in a few weeks...go figure.

I wouldn`t hesitate to use the M&H harness again. IMO $1000 is crazy for that harness. Plus a NOS harness may have issues also being 40 plus years old.

Agreed, depending on how/where the "NOS" harness was stored it still might be a little crispy and not the best choice...

Yes i think $ 750.00 US for that harness is way too much but its his to sell he can ask anything he wants and i dont blame him really. It would cost me $ 1000.00 by the time i did the conversion from Canadian dollars to US dollars and shipping so ill go with M&H wiring for my cars resto. I still have all my original wiring and might have it restored if its not in too bad shape.

Ive used M+H on maybe 5 or 6 cars so far. Ive had 2 that had issues.

One was the feed wire for the ballast resistor was crimped over the insulation instead of bare wire 1968 B body ( thus no voltage to the coil )

2nd one was a mis-wired bulkhead connector in an E body for the wiper operation ( had 2 wires crossed up )

That said I will not hesitate to use them again and again.
