Not mine!

It's only $27500!

https://desmoines.craigslist.org/cto/d/dodge-magnum/6324656199.html

1978 Dodge Magnum. Purchased new from Stew Hansen's beginning of 1979. Original window sticker is still in the window, was never removed. It has 605 ORIGINAL MILES! Stored indoors.
It has leather interior, AM/FM stereo. New tires (just put on after getting out of storage).
Quite possibly a one-of-a-kind vehicle.

If you are interested or have questions give me a call, Hal.

And let's mount the crappiest blackwall tires on this car and try to get stupid money for it. Wonder if they did that before or after the dopey tailpipes?

I have always like those cars. I wanted one for the longest time. This one is awesome but not for that kind of money.

Too weird, 25 plus years ago, I'd swear that same car was in my driveway. A friend was wanting me to buy it, so he dropped it off for me to check out. I was like, WTH, I don't want a late 70s land barge. It was freakishly low miles and exact same paint scheme.

To me nothing about the car pops, only the trip to the er to get a shin stitched up from the tail pipes.

I'm a closet Magnum fan myself, and this car does nothing for me.
For that kind of money I want a loaded GT or XE, 400 or maybe settle for a 360, loaded, with T tops, or a sunroof, and even then, over 20 grand is probably pushing the upper limits of value for one!

It may be original but I would have to see the car and engine up close. If you notice the 6 is out of line and usually means it's been around and it was probably turned back. They didn't show the engine and that would be a dead giveaway. I bought a 74 Chrysler wrecked with 40,000 original miles on it and you could tell by the engine appearance and condition that the mileage was correct. Her mileage numbers were all in perfect alignment.

Looks like some type of gauge, maybe a voltmeter or vacuum/economy gauge.Mindful of fuel economy in that 605 miles!

I can believe the low mileage but, not 605 miles. Sure the car has dirty carpet but, the dashpad in this car looks good at least from what the photos present. Another thing is I don't see cracks in the steering wheel which this style of wheel is famous. I don't mind the color but, the wheel covers have to go along with the exhaust.

The biggest question I have to ask for the exhaust setup is if the fuel tank has been swapped? IIRC, some '78 B-Bodies had a larger fuel tank than the '79 models so the fuel tank had to be moved or swapped with the smaller tank.

Supposedly the exhaust was put on just after purchase (warranty void I'd think). Extended to keep the stains from exhaust. I do have an engine compartment picture (yes, I've investigated) and I think the mileage may be correct from tips that others have noticed. There's a story behind all the oddities on it.

I agree on the tires. Whitewall at least.

I have a 78 with duals added, it can be done, move the tank aside a "notch" and/or route it between the shocks and tank, it can be done. These didn't have duals available in '78 from Ma Mope. Notice how far out they exit.

Finally a power window car. I think a 360, probably 2 barrel was avail too. 10 grand much closer to reality over that other unit.

79's had 318 and 360's in a variety of variations. This one's a 360 I believe.

I know the owner, he's willing to deal somewhat. It still have the original tires on it.

It's not perfect but quite close.

Actually the earlier replies saying it's a CB are correct.
You can see the microphone cord on it and face with the channel knobs in both of these pics.

No slot to put in a tape either, 8-track or cassette.

I can explain the exhaust.

In the late 70's Iowa passed a vehicle inspection law that was VERY poorly written.

The law stated the exhaust must exit behind the rear of the car. Many cars required "exhaust work" of some sort to pass the initial inspection to be registered (depending on the inspector that often owned an exhaust shop).

This laws was really tough on Chevy trucks and station wagons.

Vehicle inspection only lasted a few years in Iowa, everyone hated it. We never got it back smile

That exhaust looks like the kind of stuff done to get cars to pass inspection.

If this were a sunroof or T top car I might consider taking a look

I used to have a white 1979 360 car, with red interior and T tops. Easily one of the best driving cars I have ever owned . And would really think about owning another one
