the 318 in My 87 D200 is very tired, The only rebuild shops in my area are Chevy lovin Idiots that when You say Dodge the price is crazy.

I have Been thinking crate motor.

I looked at Summitt and Indy, Are there any other options out there?

I believe Jasper has a decent rep. You need to buy through a dealer... would not hurt to call.

The reman's sold by AP stores do not seem to do so well.

I believe Jasper DOES have a decent rep as well. I guess I automatically think performance when going with crate engine, so I think of companies known for performance crate engines. But if the o/p is just looking for original specs and performance, Jasper would be worth considering.

If you are looking for a motor to install and go with, Jasper motors have a pretty good rep for reliable operation. I know of several that have been in service well over 100,000 miles.

If your looking for something to pull apart and expect to find everything done in perfection, you probably don't want a Jasper (or any other mass rebuild shop motor). Gene
