Hope someone can help. I have called everyone under the sun and no one can answer why the MSD Hemi 6 box will not work on the 6.4 in a carb form.

My guess is the tone ring is different from the early 08 down 5.7?? Can a early 5.7 tone ring be made to work on the 6.4??
Thanks guys

You'd need to use the early 6.1 tone ring because of it's 4 bolt mounting. The 5.7 only uses a 3 bolt mounting configuration. I am running an '08 6.1 crankshaft in my 5.7 and it has the 32 tooth reluctor you're after to enable the box to work with it...

Simple solution is K1 part # TR 32 It's a 4 bolt design and a 32 tooth reluctor wheel. Molnar has them also.
I believe the MSD 6 will not recognize the 6.4 64 tooth count and will not work.

The Hemi 6 will not work on a 6.4L due to the tone wheel. To use the Hemi 6 you would need to change the tone wheel to a 6.1L wheel or according to FAST their XIM can be used in a stand alone carb application and can be setup to use the 6.4L fine tooth wheel. You will still need to lock the phaser in the timing chain.
