What hood choices are out there? Which products require the least prep? Any tips or warnings?

I have a '73 Sport...I'd really like to do something different than the usual stock style snorkel. I'd appreciate any experiences, thoughts or opinions you guys might have on the topic!

I'm modding my car so that it's a good all-around driver...all mods must be functional and any mods must be reversible! So my stock hood will be getting wrapped up and store in the rafters.

A couple ideas that I'm thinking about:

-Get a plain fiberglass hood and install heat extractor vents at the optimal low pressure points, then route intake tubing to somewhere...under the front bumper 4-4-2 style? That could be tricky.

-Get a plain hood and mount the twin/small '69 'Cuda style scoops...but make them functional? If this was done wrong, it would look tacky as hell.

Look for an AAR style hood...does one exist?

Again, any thoughts are very welcome!!
