So there are two part numbers for the 2 different 6.4 crankshafts that Chrysler uses in the trucks and passenger cars.

5038339AE for the truck

68293005AA for the car

Does anyone know what the differences are?

I believe they are dimensionally the same but the truck crank has extra hardening etc. This is as much as i can tell from my research

Looks to me that one part # has been superseded by the other... the challenger had the 6.4 before the truck so it looks like they now use one number for both.

As far as 'extra hardening' I'm not sure what that would be... the journals are nitrided and both would be heat treated.
