I'm looking for a dual quad intake for a HEMI. Both Mancini and SUMMIT list it.
P4510633.
Does one have to have a "code", or do I ask for Wes, and get the "friendly" deal??
Summit is now $10.00 higher.

You dont want that manifold.

Its not like the street hemi intake. Its based on an old marine hemi intake.

The carb spacing is farther apart so the factory aircleaners wont work.

Also, its an open planum intake but its a very poor design...similar to a vanke ported intake but with worse fuel distribution problems.

A&A transmission has an exact repro of the street hemi intake available but its spendy at around 1k.

If you dont mind the larger carb spacing then get a Stage V dual quad hemi intake like mine. It is just 1/2" taller over the street hemi piece and its a real single plane with killer design and performance. Its basically a short tunnel ram. Tests have showed serious HP improvements over a stock street hemi intake!...and its even cheaper than the MP intake you are considering....

Dom, THANKS for the input!
I'll go on the "hunt" for a STAGE V, in the Am.
I'll call Tim, at FHO, and see if he has one.. I always have had FIRST CLASS service on the previous purchases, so I'll just go back for some more!

Ok, Scott, you seem to have a handle on the Hemi manifolds, which one do I have - as in, is it truly an original - with part # 2780544?

Thanks!

Are you asking if it's a reproduction or not? If so there are none being sold yet so yes, #2780544 would be an original Street hemi dual 4 intake.

If you have a good pic of the front area I could probably tell you what vintage it is.

It is in the shop down in AR...I am in OK, at present. However, it is supposed to be a '67. Does the design of the old original and the new really vary that much? Keep in mind, I am an old f##t, and have never seen the new one.

Well keep in mind that there is no "new one" yet. The styles offered by Mopar, FHO (shown above) and others are quite different in many ways from the factory manifold, some new intakes rival the originals in performance but can also have a need for unique carb linkage, air cleaner set ups, fuel lines, hood clearance, and other none original requirements.

Rick Allison at A&A Transmissions is getting ready to release one and it's supposed to be a faithful reproduction complete with Pentastar and part#.

The casting number you posted was used for several years beginning in 1967. There are several distinguishing features cast and stamped in that can tell you rough which year it is but none of these features has anything to do with the casting number. Pics required for further info.

Ok...I'll try to get some pics in the next few days. Going back to AR for awhile. Have lots of leftover parts, now it seems they are gold. Oh, well. Have manifold, will travel...

Apologies. I guess I should read a little more closely.

Domingo,
Do you have the two inline manifolds pictured? Can you measure heights of carb pads. I'm curious how much they differ, e.g. what fits under a Cuda Rallye hod.

What? No Airgap for the 426?

Yes, there is. You were looking in the wrong place. It's under the ft wheels....
