Has any one on here used the 6 quart Mildon SB road race pan in a 1966 Dart for street use?
If so how do you like it?
The car in question will have a tubular front K member with front steer also so header and oil pan clearances are different than a stocker front suspension shruggy
Thanks in advance, I'm building the 340 pump gas 4 inch stroke motor with a manual trans. for a customer so I want it to be safe to drive on the street and to make sure it has enough oil capacity for him to beat on it some without worrying about oil starvation under all conditions luck
The Milidon oil pan part # is 31590.

I run that pan in a 1966 Barracuda with a 340 and a stock cross member. I had to clearance the right front corner of the sump kick out to clear the curvature of the stock cross member, dont know if that would be an issue with the cross member you plan on using. I run Dougs headers with no clearance issues, the bottom of pan sits about about 1/4" above the bottom of the stock cross member as well so no issues with ground clearance as well. The only thing that I dont like about it but its not a big deal is there is a small sump at the rear that traps oil in when you change it due to a kick up in the center of the pan to clear the drag link. You could weld on a bung and put in a drain plug to get around that if it bothered you. I have run a couple of track days and some short coarse autocross events and have never had oil starvation issues. You have to run their windage tray and replace a couple of main cap bolts with studs to accommodate it. I changed it out in the car, wouldn't recommend that but it will work if you have lots of patience.

I haven't had 1st hand experience with 66 and earlier Abodies with the milodon road race pan.

When it comes to a custom k-member fitment is going to be on the fabricator that's building the car.

What brand aftermarket K-member are you running? Maybe ask around if someone is running that same combo.

The kick up in the center is so you get a tall back wall to the sump to trap/keep oil in the pan. It makes the oil think it's an inch deeper pan. The low pro Milodon pans they've sold for years has the same kick up.

That small rear sump does not all fill with oil. It's mostly filled with the oil pump. Remember how you have to worry about HV taller oil pumps rubbing a stock pan? I it's cause the oil pump is so close.

The height of the rear section of a small block pan is only to clear the oil pump. If you ran an external oil pump the whole rear section could be shortened all the way back the same height as the kick up.

So you have to run their windage tray?

Is the kick up the reason for this?

The stock style 340 Main cap bolts and windage hardware have to be
swapped too?

Anyone know if this pan clears an E body K member without trimming?

Yes it clears an ebody.

He was mentioning a 4" stroker motor. Not sure a stock windage tray will fit a 4" stroke.

The thing you have to look out for is how far the center cap bolts stick down at that center kick up area. The milodon main bolt kit has really long cap studs so you can adjust the windage tray to whatever you want and then cut off the excess.

I'm sorry, I personally didn't mock up a stock windage tray. Call Milodon on that.
