Please recommend the best rear main seal and 727 trans pan gasket for my '79 Power Wagon. I'm hoping there is a bit of a consensus on what's the best brand/type. I already have a good oil pan gasket (Superformance).

Will be digging in soon to stop all the leaks.

Thanks.

Larry

get the seal from superformance. makes a nice orange seal for no leaks.

I would use all gaskets from superformance they seal really well.

best gaskets for the $$ IMHO.

This is for my '79 Power Wagon with factory 727.

My search of this part number shows this number not compatible? Only compatible with the 46RE 47RE 48RE. Is this accurate? Is the pan the same?
Thank you.

The pan on a 727 and 46/47/48 series are the same outline shape. The 2464324AC has some added thickness to it, you might need slightly longer bolts to get full thread engagement into the case.
