Agree. The valve covers are 69 and older. The air cleaner is a 69-71 style without air dam.

69 Hemi GTX and 69 Hemi Road Runner. This is how they rolled off the line.

The website is absolutely wrong. Besides, the tube they are referring to will pivot to either side. The pictures I posted are correct for 1969.

The Super Bee you are referring to, had the engine compartment restored by Frank Badalson, probably the most knowledgeable guy out there on 69 Hemi cars.

Wrong! All 69 air grabber and ram chargers whether they were 383,440, or hemi had breather on the driver side. I was second owner of a well known 69 Hemi Bee and the oil breather was on the passenger side. However, if we are nitpicking the 69 engine compartment, I have never had a 1969 B-Body car where the heater hoses had a metal strap around them like in the photos of the Hemi Bee link and as shown in the engine compartments above? I was the original owner of a 69 383 Runner, second owner of a 9100 mile A12 in 1972 and a 41,000 mile 69 Hemi Bee in the late 80's. The heater hoses were always just loose and held in place by the bracket on the inner fender and one on the alternator. I do not believe the tie straps are correct? Does anyone have a factory photo that shows straps on a 69? Here's a photo from an untouched 5600 mile A12 Bee with original hoses. http://a12mopar.com/yabb/Attachments/IMG_4540.JPG

straps are for A/C cars Thought you couldn't get AC with the N96? You couldn't! Mine came from the 1st owner with the PVC on the drivers side, with original hoses.

Hello all, Frank Badalson here. To clear things up on this Y2 hemi Superbee belonging to Alex Futter.......I had nothing to do with assembly.....they never asked me for advice.....nothing. I only did the engine....thats it. As to aluminum straps on these heater hoses for this application.....It is my research that shows they were NEVER used....I would never have done that and it is unnecessary. Best regards to all Frank I know how you feel Frank! A long time ago, in a conversation with you and Roger, Dick K told you guys that I said the hood latch and hood spring on his 68 Hemi GTX should be painted body color and I never said such thing. I know you guys knew that I am particularly fussy about original finishes and never tried to straighten it out...but obviously, I still think about it. It kind of makes you feel violated!
