I'm pretty sure Chrysler Corp. in Canada sold Plymouths with Dodge fronts. Well that would be good news. I should know if I can get it cheap and by cheap Im talking 200 max. For that and with my dodge, I could build a dirt cheap rig.

I'm pretty sure Chrysler Corp. in Canada sold Plymouths with Dodge fronts. Yes, they did, and were sold as Dodges (as a cost saver). Nicknamed a Plodge. I have one. Dodge grille, Plymouth dash. It is my understanding that the front fenders where special to mate the two.

According to the Standard catalog of Chrysler 1924-1990: 56 Plymouth (all models) had a 115" wheel base and an over all length of 204.8"
56 Dodge had 120" wheel base, and had an over all length of 213".
It was pretty typical of a Dodge to have a longer front end then a Plymouth had. You may have to alter the rear edge of the Dodge front fenders to match up with the Plymouth wheel base.
Its an old car, a torch and a welder can put nearly anything together.
I type slow! 57 was the introduction of the unibody construction. Both 56's should be body on frame. A Dakota front end has been put under at least one of these cars, I think its story is right here on Moparts. Its not a simple job. Gene

56 DODGE REGENTS
OBVIOUS PLYMOUTH BACK HALF AND DODGE FRONT CLIPS
My first car was a 56 Plodge Regent the same colour combo as that in a 2dr hardtop. Flathead Powerflite. Long on flat, short on power. I did find out that if you stand on one for several minutes it will hit 100 MPH eventually... Broke the crank at the rear main after I lifted. Kevin
