I rechecked TDC and my balancer had slipped allot. Last time I checked it it was acurate to about .75 of a degree.

I pulled and locked out the advance in my MSD distributor recently and the car ran ok but toal timing was probably only about 15 degrees and timing was retarded slightly at idle.... so timing has been off since I installed the EFI.

I thought I'd share this. I recall a post and members discussing the proper finish of hood latches many years ago. I had mine off a few weeks ago and took these pics. Mine is a 12/71 built hamtramck built car

I'm pretty sure it's a silver/zinc finish for correctness...

I am going to pull the trigger soon for the exact same fitech setup with the command center for my car. I'm sick of chasing the tune on my car. And I have the vapor return line on my car too.

There are FiTech groups on FB, and long running post on FABO http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/fitech-efi-system.321984/ that should help.

Things to note

I was urged that running a ground to the unit would be a good idea. Shown is the one I used, I got it at NAPA and I did have to enlarge one hole slightly. This fit nicely from a carb stud to the back of the head on a smallblock

I was also told that one or two users had codes that they eliminated by shielding wires. Shown previously is what I used to shield my wires. PM me if you need a source.

I also found the straight vent nipple to be awkward so I bought (what I think is) a 5/16ths 90 degree hose barb 1/8th male NPT

Pay close attention there's an arrow on the filter to shown direction of flow.... and one of the illustrations has the filter backward

I adjusted my pinion angle 2 degrees using shims. The second pic shows things loosened up, I swapped one U bolt at a time to keep things together.

I need to account for the large roller cam and vacuum, so ..... I sprung for a pricey dual flow PCV valve. It has idle and cruise circuits

I will need to change the grommet but I've spec'd everything and Napa should be able to help.

Going well, I've been enjoying it. I'm sure a few drivers were surprised to see it come into and out of view rather expeditiously. I get "sounds good man" texts as I exit or enter the neighborhood,my Chevrolet buddy can hear it from his house smile

The evidence is in the recycle bin, I've made 4 beer runs since Thursday.

Dude, 4 beer runs? Sounds like the Cuda isn't big enough then - better start using the Ram.

Just went to Marble today with Mo (in her Dart), watched the Giants lose again and grabbed a growler.

I needed a 1" OD, 3/4" ID grommet. It took a bit but I found one.

I measured, measured and measured, made a baffle/tapped the bosses, shortened the screws, used star washers and locktite etc. The baffles is very tight tolerance to the vlave cover.
