it really depends on what your building and what your budget is. the "best" parts will be pretty expensive. there are lots of different quality brands available though. Callies, K-1, Scat, Eagle, etc.
we use/sell mostly callies and K-1 because of the better machining as compared to some of the others.

Brad, you know my story of the "great deal" I got on the cast 4 inch crank for my old duster dont you?????

Whatever you do put a decent crank in it.

Imagine that you are a smallblock guy now and I just bought a big block!!!!!

Yes Chuck told me your ordeal.i try to never be cheap with something i am going to beat.I am not a fan of Eagle parts at all! I know people who have used Scat parts with good results. I like to exercise all my options before i buy anything.thanks buys Brad

I got what I could get good deals and and pieced it.
Dealer gave me a good deal on 4" steel forged crank{not the cast steel one}
Todd440 gave me a good price on custom made forged Dimond pistons and file fit rings.
Machiest gave me a good deal on rods and mains
Ebay eagle H beams
engle custom soild cam / lifters
comp cams 1.5 rockers.
1000 for some eldebrock heads from a member here
