Anybody have a picture of the little bracket that holds the end of the hood release cable by the hood latch? Looks like I'm going to have to make one and all I have is the picture out of the parts book. Would like to see what it looks like and how/where it attaches.

Also: how far back is it the same? 1979 has the cable routed differently.

Here's one from my 74 Ramcharger

It's a brand new cable (I forgot where I got it from)

the dust cover is already broke so I'll replace it with a dust cap of a set of Jagwire bicycle cables or something.

So it attaches to the shield. Dang. Was afraid of that. Shield is missing too. Thanks.

Have to figures something out. May put a Lokar cable in it and run it similar to the 79, but under the core support.

Actually, I can make a U shaped thing and bolt it to the 2 latch bolts.

more than likely you can make a cable holder and attach it to the drivers side latch bolt and it should work.... may want to try a wanted add on RamChargerCentral if you want the factory stuff though.

Here's one on ebay... you could message the seller and see if he has the cable clip he'll throw in too

Problem is, that starting in 79, they moved the cable on top of the core support, and the bracket and latch are not the same. Needs to be 78 or older. Found a guy parting a 76. Have to call him and see if it has the stuff or not.

would one of these work? you can get them small enough to firmly hold the cable without crushing it.parts stores, hardware, etc...

No. Needs the metal to lock in the end of the cable. Plus, it needs the shield for it to attach too. Found both from a guy in West Virginia and is shipping it out today. Thanks for your guys' help.
