I just got off the phone from placing an order with Jegs in Ohio. A guy named Jim took my order and after finding out I was a Mopar guy to me to get my butt out to the Mopar Nats this year at Columbus and looked up the date for me. In talking to him I told him i have a Pro-shop account at Summit and he told me to email my licence number and car number to them and to get an account set up with Jegs. This guy went the extra mile with customer service and beat Summits prices by a 'fair amount'. He had nothing but good stuff to say about Mopars and works with several other Mopar lovers.

I almost always go through Summit, only because I find their website easier to use. HEMI Joel and I stopped at the Jegs retail outlet while on Drag Week last year, and I can not say one bad thing about them. The people working in the store were gearheads, and knew the products. Top notch all the way.

I like all of them . At one time or another Jegs, Summit and Lane have exceeded expectations.
Rarely do any of them drop the ball.
I ordered springs and locks from Summit yesterday about noon, and they were sitting in front of the doors when i opened up the store this morning with standard shipping.

I agree on site navigation. Pretty hard to beat Summit.
Being Canadian I have no hassle at the border with their packages. Now that said I wouldn't be scared to try Jegs out if they had something I needed in a hurry.

Jeg's site is awful. I don't even go there without part numbers. That's my only complaint about them and I appreciate that the whole family races. Summit's website is much easier to use and stuff seems to get to me a day earlier for some reason. On the down side for Summit, they not only sell Chinese knockoff stuff, but they are pretty active in having stuff reverse engineered there and selling it under their own brand names. Makes for bad feelings with their vendors whom are being ripped.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

I've lived within miles of them my whole life; I've had one bad experience which was an honest error. Most of the people that have worked there over the years are gear heads and for the most part, know what they are talking about or at least know what you're talking about when your looking for something. Most of the time, Jegs does get my business due to their proximity but, I've never had a bad experience with Summit or Mancini either.

You got that right but I found a back door to my their system. I google it and usually click on the link to jegs. Example today I needed an ATI Powerglide super case and wanted to see all the parts available like small and big block bellhousings, tailshafts, ect. It kinda helps once you play with it on some searches.

I hate posting from my dam phone in the shop

That's why over the years 85% of my parts buying went to Jeg's and the other 15% went to Summit, Mancini and Competition Products. up

dont buy from Summit unless I need it the next day....8.25% sales tax...

Get the pro shop discount from either place ..just need to order it a day or two earlier.

While I have had good outcomes from both Summit and Jegs, I would have to give Jegs the edge on customer services because they are faster on their responses.

However like others I most often buy from Summit because their website is so much better. Jeg's website has improved but they have a long way to go.

Summit is also opening a warehouse in Texas which means I will probably get stuff from that warehouse overnight (I am in Oklahoma).

Jegs used to have the best website, until they improved it...now it is crap!

Summit is much better, but not as good as the old Jegs website.

I buy from both, but prefer Jegs. Jegs honors returns much better, and when Jegs does not have an Item in stock, I will buy from Summit.

Summit lately has been shipping on Saturday and Sunday, and my package will arrive on Monday by iCargo...fantastic service!

My 2 cents.

Part of my order arrived at 11:30am today (FedEx) but my needed ATI transmission case is hopefully coming later. I stopped my stock case build last night hoping I could put it together in the new aftermarket case today. FedEx and I have delivery issues sometimes and I requested UPS only from Summit. I'm the after 6pm delivery route guy with FedEx usually.

FedEx ground uses local contractors to deliver. I am sure they are supposed to have FedEx livery on their vans I am sure there are exceptions. Last week we had a FedEx delivery and they guy (in FedEx uniform) was driving a Penske rental van.

I quit buying from summit as much as before because they use a different small carrier for deliveries here now... used to be UPS and would get the parts by 10am or so. Jegs has better prices on a lot of things I have found lately.

Well I guess I spoke to soon as SOMEONE dropped the ball on this one. My order consisted of a Powerglide Super bell transmission case with is the body and bellhousing (33 pounds 2 pieces). Since I was placing an order I added 10 transmission pump gaskets (10 piece kit) and 2 plastic breathers (boxed together 2 pounds). Well you guessed it, the gaskets and breathers came and the case shipped from the same Jegs warehouse was put on another truck. That truck sat in Ohio from 5am till 5:56 pm when I called Jegs to see where it was. All day long the tracking number said 'on truck for delivery". Well it coust me a night of testing today and possibly a race tomorrow but rain is predicted. When I called Jegs I told them I had a deal with Summit to use UPS only and Jegs set my account up like that too for now on. I'm the late delivery guy with FedEx and have been bummped to the next day several times if they are running late and twice I've gotten the 2 day bump. I would sure like to get this thing built today and at least start putting it back in so I hope FedEx delivers.

Summit uses On-Trac more often than not in the west coast. Not fedex or ups. I used to order almost all my stuff they carry from Summit, until I moved to Vegas. Having to pay the additional sales tax pretty much stopped that. Now I will order from Jegs but if I need or want something quicker I use our local shop Figspeed. I have spent a ton of money with Les and his guys there, all of which are racers. Love having a local shop I can patronize and keep the money in our community.
