I am building a custom CF hood for my 62 Lancer. The process I'm proceeding with is, I built a mold of an exact replica of my original hood. I have built the first copy out of CF/Kevlar, to verify everything is looking good. I wanted a spare OEM style hood anyway, so no big deal. My next stage is to modify this existing mold for the custom hood scoop I want. Once I make that modification, the mold will no longer be able to be returned to its original configuration. I have worked with composites for over 50 years, I have not done any commercial composite production in 25 years,, I don't want to start again now. However anyone that understands how much goes into building a mold and this whole process, understands my hesitation to change my mold. I am willing to run a few copies before I make the change. I was not able to find any source of 62 Lancer composite body stuff on the market, if there ever was any, so I undertook it on myself. I could do FG, but prefer not to, as the results are far superior with epoxy/CF, kelvar would be optional. My goal is not "show" quality, but a decent prime/wet sand/finish coat and you will be there. My design is for light weight (10lbs?), lift off. Anything can modified, I just have limited time, and want to move on with the project. There is a limit of hoods/time I wiling to build, 2 to 4? maybe. Send me a PM and/or email if you want pics/details/info/terms/etc. Base hood is likely in $500 range. I already did this whole process with the trunk lid for car and thought of making this offer, one time.

For sale
1972 Plymouth scamp. Numbers matching 318 V8 and 904 automatic. Car has power steering, factory AC, and manual brakes. Has had new quarters, floors, torsion bar cross member. Has been repainted the original yellow color aside from the door jambs, under hood, and trunk. Had a white vinyl top but was in bad shape and removed before being painted. Most of the original decals are still intact. Car has 84k miles. Came from Warwick RI. I am the third owner. Seats are not original but the rest of the interior is. Door panels and arm rest where painted black. I installed full length headers with dual 2 1/2" exhaust with flowmaster super 40 mufflers. I do have the original exhaust manifolds if you want to go back to stock. Car runs and drives great.nI can send pics if interested.

Asking $10,000.00
Thank you.
