Dodge Dakota Tube Chassis Drag car.

I have owned this for years, I also have another drag car, I've decided to let this one go.
This is a 1995 Dakota Extra cab pickup, motor is moved back a foot, driver's seat is actually in the extra cab window - tons of room unlike an S-10... It is a complete double-tube mild steel chassis with a mustang II front end. The truck has a few dings, but no rust at all and is very clean. Good looking, draws a crowd...

Last weekend I got stuck behind a bunch of imports in the staging lanes, overheated the motor and blew a head gasket. I have since pulled the motor, and the photos tell the story..

The truck is a 4-link (chassis engineering) with coil overs, and has the following:

-Wilwood Dynalite disc brakes rear
-Complete Moser braced 9" (new 2015) with 35 spline axles, strange nodular section and spool, 4.56 pro gears
- Custom made Carolina driveshaft
- JW built powerglide with factory case but no factory internals, 1.80 straight cuts chromoly, billet turbo shaft, etc (built 2015)
- TCI Gerotor pump
- JW Ultrabell mopar to glide, JW wheel flexplate
- Quarterstick shifter (with pistolgrip, of course)
- 8" PTC 4500 converter (JW built 2015)
- Chassis engineering mid and front plate
- Competition Engineering column kit
- RCI seat
- Separate fuel systems for motor and nitrous
- Full Autometer gauges
- Complete MSD system, 7AL-2, start/nitrous retard, dial chips, MSD coil, pro billet distributor, etc.
- Line lock, all new wiring 2015. Easy to use, one button, switch to "burnout" and use the shifter button for linelock, switch to "launch" and use the same button to get on the Pro Brake
- 15 x 14 Welds in back with good goodyear 31x14 slicks, imitqtion welds up front with good M/T front runners.
- 4 wing nuts and one plug, nose comes off... bed cover lifts up for easy fueling. Two hand nuts and the entire beds tilts up (see photos)
- Truck weighs 2670 with Megablock wedge
- Custom headers with removable front tubes
- Engine Diaper

MOTOR - Motor is apart (see above mishap)

- Block is a Mopar megablock (early), was once hurt below #4, was sleeved and patched (see photos) a dozen years ago by Dvorak. Current bore is 4.520, I think it will clean up at 4.530 (Ross has an off the shelf piston for this).
- Crank is gorgeous, it is a 4340 forging (unknown manufacturer from 15 years ago), chamferred, 6 & 8 bolt pattern, etc.
- Rods are custom Manley aluminum 6.920", in excellent shape
- Pistons are ROSS custom, some scuffing, otherwise nice
- Keith Black BILLET oil pump and Milodon 7 qt. pan, external single line (12 an) with remote mount filter.
- Mopar aluminum water pump housing with Summit billet pump
- Indy timing cover, ATI balancer, Cloyes double chain
- Comp 892 roller lifters with front side closed off (brass) for pushrod oiling - offset for 440-1 heads.
- COMP roller cam #23-000-9 (only 40 passes) .621/.621 on 108
- JESEL 1.7:1 Roller rockers for INDY 440-1 heads (these also fit 572-13 heads) - perfect shape
- Powermaster 3.5hp starter, ARP studded block, pan, etc.
- INDY intake - full ported with like new NOS fogger system with all pills, instructions, complete from activation switch to bottle and a spare bottle.
- INDY 440-1 Heads - Here's where the problem lies, the heads have been repaired and cut so many times that they are down to 58cc, had been oringed in the past (Dvorak), and have a dozen weld repairs each - In my opinion, the heads are done. The valves, springs, etc. are excellent and have low passes on them. IT NEEDS HEADS - period...

Will sell as a roller. Will accept some partial trades, nice car for my daughter maybe. Hotrods, diesel truck, who knows.

I have for sale my 1982 Dodge short bed Pro Street/Race truck. It has a 493 Indy head stroker engine that is 12 to 1 compression. The engine consist of an Eagle crank, Manley rods and JE pistons that was assembled and balanced by Hensley Performance. The block is a 69 that was machined by a local shop that is very reputable and does most of the local track work. The cam is a speced cam by Dwayne Porter through Comp. The intake is a Victor that was ported by Hensley and the carb is a 1050 Dominator built by Biggs Performance. The ignition is MSD. The tranny is a 727 with a bolt in Sprague and has a Trans Go kit installed and a Dynamic 4500 flash stall converter. The rear is a brand new built Dana 60 which has never seen track time yet. It is completely new through out including the brakes. It is a 4.30 ratio. The cage has just been updated to 9.00's. It has 2 race seats installed and has a rear fuel cell and 2 batteries in the rear. The truck is a thrill to run and goes extremely straight from take off to finish and has been a best of 10.80 but is capable of more. I don't really have the time to fool with it now as I am caregiver to my father who is 88 and between my business and him and upkeep of the property I have no time for it anymore. If interested you can PM me here or contact me at samson1156@verizon.net or telephone at 1-410-968-2010. I can give you more info then and send any or all pictures you need. Feel free to contact at any time. Thanks and have a great day. Clinton. ( My asking price for this truck is 15,000 or Best reasonable answer. I have a very nice trailer and a set of slicks and street slicks mounted on similar rimes that I will give with the truck if the price offered for the truck is within reason.)

Piece of mopar history. 1of1 1991 eagle talon specially built for Koffels place. Extremely light 6.0 cert tube chassis. Weld alumastar wheels. New lexan, chute, wheelie bars, tires, rear shocks. Car still has original paint scheme done for koffles. Has a silver wrap over it cause I wanted to keep the history. Car works good on the street. 20k OBO. OR TRADE. Not sure how to post pics on here. Feel free to txt me for questions and pics. 55993six9six20.
