Off to Sweden!!! Thanks Moparts

1970 Dodge Challenger R/T JS27N0B. Nice Sunday Cruiser/Ice Cream Getter.

Original, numbers 383 motor. Car was restored in 2000. Originally a ff8 dark green car, black interior, strip delete with automatic and I believe a white top. Now as you can see, it is top banana with stripes and a black top. Still has original black interior. It is now a four speed car with pistol grip. Correct four speed hump installed when restored. 3.55 sure grip, power top, power steering, power brakes. This is not a trailer queen but rather a car that I drove and enjoyed, but still shows well. Rally dash needs rebuild.
Car is located on Long Island NY. $7,500 FIRM.

71 Challenger RT originally 383 auto, plum crazy, black interior, top and stripes. No motor and trans but pretty complete and solid body needing minor rust repair. All body numbers match the VIN tag and has the fender tag. Body needs rust repair in the trunk floor, trunk filler panel, driver's side front floor pan and rear driver's foot well area. Other floor pans have some surface rust but no rust through. A couple small spots on back window frame. The quarters are solid except for a few small holes behind the rear wheels but driver's side has dents from body line down and the passenger has some filler on bottom. Wheel lips are nice. Solid frame, rockers, roof, wheelhouses, trunk extensions, tail panel, inner fenders, and firewall. Inner fenders have a few stress cracks. Doors and fenders are solid but have dents and dings. Nice hood and trunk lid with minimal rust on the lip. Has all original tinted glass. Bumpers are straight. Nice grille, tail lights and panel. Grille does have a crack on the driver's side that is an easy repair. Front valence is nice, rear valence look like it needs a little work. Has all interior panels and trim in good condition. Nice ralley guages and switch panel. All wiring there. Three speaker dash has cracks but speakers are there. The car originally came with the console mounted cassette deck R26 but is gone. Console is there and is in good condition. Has original quarter scoops and back seat that needs recovering. Was originally ordered as an export car. This is how I bought the car two years ago. Title lost, have bill of sale. I talked to a title company and Vin is clear and said it would be about $550 for a new title. They do all the work and guarantee a title for this car. Any questions please ask. Include a set of newly covered front buckets and rear seat with new foam and covers professionally done by an upholstery shop, and a nice tuff wheel to replace the cracked wheel. Front seats do not have backs or mounting brackets but the ones in the car do. Would like to get $9500.00 for the car with parts.

Sold******

Selling my 72 340 'cuda 4-speed car. BS23H
Have had for about 3 years and I've come to conclusion I'm not going to get to it. Rather spend my time on 2-wheeled vehicles.
Bought the car as it sits. However, I've put new wheels and tires on it along with an Edelbrock Performer Intake and new Edelbrock 1406 carb with electric choke.
I would classify the car as being 75% restored. Non-matching engine, it has a '68 340, no idea if trans is original.

The good -
Many new parts - bumpers, hoses, clamps, fuel and brake lines, brake hardware. New tank and sending unit. New exhaust. New fuel pump, alternator, and many other pieces.
Engine runs great, was supposedly rebuilt but have no details. Starts right up when warm with no smoke or bad noises. Videos of engine running can be found here.
https://youtu.be/jlSQ4Rc3Ppw
https://youtu.be/lBQ3Aypl0Mk
Oil pressure is 50-55 psi when warm
New seat covers, carpet, headliner.
Pretty good stainless trim, decent door panels.
Have legible but laminated build sheet, no fender tag.
5 of the 6 cowl numbers match in correct sequence, can't make out one of them. Not able to find any numbers on the radiator support.

The bad -
Paint is ok, not high end show paint but would never be embarrassed at a cruise night. Overall shines nicely but a few thin areas.
Color change, was a B5 car. Now FY1 yellow.
Car yard drives fine but never plated so haven't put more than a mile or two on it.
Shifter rods need adjusted, little tough to shift and it sounds like one of the rods hit the exhaust.
Use of non-OEM hardware for some of the fasteners. Some fasteners missing for interior trim.
No seat belts, worn pistol grip shifter.
All exterior lights, signal lights, wipers, and blower works. Dash lights, reverse light (bulb?), and radio does not work.
Brakes seem soft, steering a bit loose, typical center crack in grill.
No washer motor, no emergency brake. A couple of the window regulators are bad.
Column key lock does not work, haven't looked to see what's going on.
Trunk is splatter painted gray.
The only two leaks are from the pinion seal and the thermostat housing. Was going to get an O-ring housing but never got around to it. The engine and trans don't leak a drop.
Has a dash cap, no idea what dash looks like underneath.

Extras -
Comes with a trunk full of parts. Good front and rear window regulators, good steering wheel (one on it has some rust and pitting), lower control arms with tabs and new pressed in bushing, rear OEM sway bar (needs restored), emergency brake pedal and some hardware (needs restored), new aftermarket front sway bar, spare heater box for restoration, new plugs. Trunk lid spring and sliders.

No rust whatsoever or bondo on the car. You can put a magnet anywhere. Looks like new quarters were installed but not the best job on the passenger side with matching up with outer wheel house.

This is obviously not a concours e-body but would be a great cruise night car and would probably take just a few weekends to make it into a great driver or put it on a trailer and flip it at the Nats. I've tried to list out everything that would be of importance and give an honest assessment.

I have a clear Ohio title in my name.

1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Convertible

This is a special car! It has had only one registered owner from new, is an unrestored all numbers matching Big Block 383 Magnum, 727 automatic transmission REAL R/T Convertible! It has never has had any rust ever and it is documented with its’ original window sticker, original dealer purchase invoice, original owners manual and more! It sold new in Texas and then spent most of its life in Mexico. Garaged and kept inside this car has been protected from Mother Natures elements and still retains all of its original sheet metal, its original and perfect dash pad, its original convertible top and unbelievably it even has its original exhaust system! The car has never been taken apart and the engine and transmission have never been out of the car. It has only 86K original miles on it and the date coded original spark plug wires are still even on the car! There has been a quality repaint of its original color of EV2 Hemi Orange and it looks beautiful. Also included with the car is an original Mexican Newspaper from 1971 where the car was featured on the front page of the paper with professional golfer Lee Trevino riding in the back of the car in a parade celebrating Lees exceptional golf season that year!
This fine car came from the factory just the way you see it here. Special order high impact EV2 Hemi Orange with a White top, White R/T side Stripes and a Black and White interior. It has a power top, Rallye Gauges, Air Conditioning, Bucket seats, AM radio, Power Steering, Light Package, Chrome Racing mirror and more. It has a nice set of Goodyear Polyglas tires on it with the original Ralleye rims and the original space saver spare and jack are still in the trunk! All of the gauges work including the clock and the radio.
The original fender tag is in place along with all of the matching numbers stamped on the cowl, radiator support, engine, transmission, drivers door VIN decal and the VIN tag. Dodge built 83,032 Challengers in 1970. Only 1070 of those built were “R/T” convertibles. And only 516 of them built were 383 Magnum 727 automatic R/T converts!
It would be nearly impossible to find a better well kept original REAL R/T Challenger Convertible in one of the most desirable color combinations, fully documented and for it to be this 100% rock solid and rust free forever like this one! This is the FIRST year of the iconic Challenger and it was the ONLY year the factory offered an R/T in a Convertible! This is one of the most copied or cloned cars out there and you will find many fake ones converted to look like an R/T and have a Big Block installed to mimic the real thing…
This car IS the real thing!

This is a super clean and straight rust free car. It is matching numbers engine and trans and body numbers. The car was built at the Los Angeles Plant and was in California mostly. Now in Lower Michigan. The body was put on a rotisserie and painted. Original trunk floor and qtrs. etc. It is wet sanded but needs to be just rubbed out now and the taillight section blacked out. The Motor is done mostly stock 30 over with just a little bigger cam. The trans mission is rebuilt. The rear end is done and new 8 3/4 with a 3.91 posi. The front K frame and suspension is powder coated. Driveshaft is restored. 15x7 Rally wheels. Correct original radiator. Original re-chromed bumpers not repops. NOS grille in the box. Lots of NOS and new parts. All the window trim and stainless are restored by Mcnichols Polishing in Detroit. There is over $90,000 into this car as it sits. Joel's on Joy did the trans with a mild shift kit. New torque converter 2500 stall. The car was F8 Green with a tan interior with a column shift auto. Now on the floor. Rally hood car originally but now a Shaker hood added. The shaker air cleaner set up is all original not all repopped parts. Car came with a Rally Woodgrain dash with tach and gauges. Stripe delete car. A lot went into making sure the car was being done right. All the hard and expensive parts and work have been done. There is a ton more done I have not listed. Original fender tag. The interior is all new and was done in White instead of tan. The car is being sold for about half what is in it cash wise. It is tough finding a clean V code let alone with the original matching numbers drivetrain. This is a LA built car no build sheet. This is going to be a really nice done car with all the gaps really nice. Paint alone was over $20,000. I am selling this for $49.900. MY mother has passed on and I am back to business starting Tuesday Sept 5th. Thanks to all who emailed and texted me their condolences. My Sincere Thanks from My Family and I.

1971 Dodge Challenger 340 convertible. This is a very clean, rust free, documented, numbers matching, ~98,000 mile, 2 owner CA/AZ car. This car had one driver quality paint job since new. The door jambs, engine compartment and trunk still have the original paint. The original numbers matching 340 has about 5,000 miles on the rebuild. The transmission was replaced at some point and is not numbers matching. All other numbers on the car match. Everything on the car works and it runs and drives great ( no overheating and no leaks). The car is documented with the original fender tag and broadcast sheet. This is a very dependable car that is ready to be driven and enjoyed.

E-body convertibles in this condition are very hard to find and rarely come up for sale. $49,900 OBO

I have pointed out areas of the car I would want to be aware of if buying the car without seeing it in person. See the “Other” section of this ad. You can call me (Doug) @ seven zero three 405 6825 if you have questions or need additional pics.

PM me here or cudaconv_71@yahoo.com

As with most e-bodies the lower quarter panels have some bubbles starting (see closeup pics). This is very minor, but I wanted to make sure the buyer is aware of this. I have owed several AZ cars and this even happens to the AZ cars due to dirt and moisture getting trapped in the lower quarters.

Has newer black top, but originally had a white top
Body side molding added when second owner had it repainted

Original four-owner car that has been in dry SoCal its whole life! No rust issues to contend with! Least expensive, most solid 1971 Barracuda I have seen, and no hidden issues to deal with! Get into an E-body for very little money compared to other cars. Drive it, clone it, or anything in between!

1971 Plymouth Barracuda, Light Blue Exterior, Blue interior. Original numbers matching 318 engine and A/T , Column Shift, A/C, P/S, and PDB. Has fender tag, I have not looked for build sheet. Has correct radiator and jack assy. w/hook. 14” Road Wheels (5) with BFGs. According to previous owner, engine was rebuilt about 20K miles ago. New gas tank. New hood pins and brackets. New battery. Dual exhaust was added with A body style tips by second owner many years ago, and it is in nearly new shape. Rear end is a 2.76 open differential, and rear leaf springs are original.

Car has been upgraded with a ‘Cuda Sport Hood w/Hood Pins, 70 bucket seats (upholstered with old school velour back in the 1990s to match but with Black backs), Dual Chrome sport mirrors w/driver-side remote, and front power disc brakes. 120 Speedo and gauge cluster. All glass in the car is original (with logos/date codes/etc). Car is a factory undercoated car.

Car body is in excellent condition with only a few minor chips in the paint. Dash has typical cracks, but is original and covered with a black mat. Very nice driver condition. Car has been stored in enclosed storage since 2005 until I resurrected it. I have driven this car nearly 1000 trouble free miles since I have addressed mechanical issues. Carb has been rebuilt. Water pump was replaced. Interior panels are in remarkable condition for their age. I have new kick panels and A-pillar trim I can include. Door sills are brand new, and originals are included. Plugs, wires, and fresh fluids all around.

I would not hesitate to drive this car ANYWHERE!

As you can see by the scheduled production date (6/30) and the VIN, this is one of the last 71's to roll off the assembly line.

I would end the auction early for $34k or something very close to it. Bank to bank transfer is the preferred method of payment, but cash or cashier's check can work (will ship once funds clear).

This is far an away the least expensive 1971 Barracuda that is ready to rack up miles the day it is delivered!

Car is located in Poway, CA. I will assist with shipping, but all associated costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Fender tag codes:

E44 - 318 2-Bbl. Engine
D31 - 3-Speed Automatic
GB2 - Glacial Blue Iridescent (Light Blue Metallic)
H6B5 - Blue Bench Seat Interior
000 - Upper Door Panel Color (N/A)
