Did the L.A. plant apply the tail stripe on the reflector housings on the 69 Dodges like the other plants or were the reflector housings put on after the stripe was put on?

I think reflector housings were painted. The tail strip was not part of it. Well they were "supposed" to be painted and all of the other plants painted the reflector bezel the stripe color so we would need a survivor from the LA plant to confirm ALL of the assembly plants matched the reflector bezel to the stipe color. Over on the A12 Registry there are many Lynch Road examples of the reflector bezel matching the stripe color and how the tail stripe was cut and wrapped inside of the reflector quarter panel hole and into the trunk. Here a 5600 mile survivor '69 A12 from the LYNCH ROAD (not LA) Assembly plant: http://a12mopar.com/yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1197019589;start=all (Also note the forward offset of the stripe over the reflector, it is NOT centered over the '69 Super Bee rear reflector as a lot of installers incorrectly center it. This one is more offset than most but all of the original Lynch Road stripes are offset forward.)

I believe the stripes were suppose to be centered, but back then, quality control lacked a bit.

Troy owned a metallic tan LA built 69 340 swinger with what appeared to be original stripes and mostly original paint. Hood replaced with factory part. The swinger stripe I thought has the same outside dimensions as a GTS stripe???
Moparts member KSJ ? In Kansas owns it now.

Thanks for the pics. Driver's side looks like the reflector bezel is black and can't tell what's going on with the passenger side.

This one is more offset than most but all of the original Lynch Road stripes are offset forward.) My 70 Bee from Lynch Road has the (OE)stripe installed like this on passenger side, but driver side is centered. Luckily you can't see both sides at the same time. ;-)
