I have to wonder, if you have a haul request, do you post and the person willing to do the job replies or PM's you, or the opposite?

I have posted before here and nobody responds (but I see lots of views). Making me wonder if I'm supposed to contact them.

If that's the case, why not post those who are willing to travel and haul, and let the prospective customer contact them.

Not ranting, just wondering.

Not a business, so no need to "pony up" I guess.

I just need some quotes for my car haulage as I need to make a decision based on the haulage cost.
Not being in the biz I'm not able to come up with a good guess. This post wasn't about flaming anyone, just wondered it seems like posts by others go unreplied to, making me wonder if I need to make the 1st move.

No bad intended, just wanted to make sure I did my part. smile

I check in to see if people need something hauled close to where I may be going. If I have nothing close to where someone needs a car picked up it would be useless for me to quote them. I can't drive 800 miles out of my way for nothing just to help someone, the cost for that would make the trip not feasible.

iagree I only post when I am going somewhere and have room or I am deadheading, just the way it is done unless you are a sponsor. wave
The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.
