I am surprised no one has done one. I see a few wrecked Vipers out there...Not sure what they go for money wise..

I thought there was issues with the HEMI fitting in the Viper? Can't recall where I heard that.

It would be a nice combo. And would sound a lot better IMHO.

Hemi is to wide for a stock Viper.

Both the Hemi and V10 fit in the Challengers....Don't see why it wouldn't fit.

But a Challenger is not a viper, and the V10 is narrower than the Hemi.

I would have to argue the Gen 3 Hemi is too wide. Todd Goodwin had a Big Block in a viper 10 years or so ago in NMCA Pro Stock. Pretty sure it had to have stock front suspension to compete. He was fast with a 470 inch indy head motor. I would think if a big block would fit a Gen 3 hemi would.

I think a G3 is wider than a big block but I am not positive, its got to be close.

The G3 is wider so is the 4.7.

A Gen 3 is wider than even a BB, valve cover to valve cover.

I would have never thought it but I measured a 440 I have vs the 6.1 in my car and yeas the 6.1 is about 2 inches wider. Never been under the hood of a viper not sure how much room they have.

Doesn't surprise me a bit that they are bigger. They always looked that way to me.

Even a wrecked viper runs near 20k if fixable. Not many people would buy a viper with the internet of pulling an already powerful motor and part of what vipers are known for to swap in a v8. Not a cheap toy to start with.

Too much trouble because it's too wide. And there's no real advantage in that motor swap (other than exhaust note).
