ok so here is my build any advice would be great

this motor goes in a "stock" pulling truck

440 bored to 4.383 cut to just about zero deck
4.15 forged crank
6.76 eagle rods
srp dual valve releif pistons 12 to 1 comp
motor is fully balanced
curently running 915 heads with minor work.
mp .484 hyd grind at the time being.
67 hp intake, with a holley 850 that has been worked to 1000 cfm

my classes rules are:
no alum intakes, single 4 barrell only with max 1 inch carb spacer.
no domed or quench pistons
max .490 lift at the valve
alum. heads allowed
no power adders
max of 95 oct fuel.
and thats all the rules as far as motor.

now here is the problem 3 of the top 5 guys myself included are all running 440's lol

1 is running a stock stroke 440 with flat tops and stealth heads. im blowing him away.

the other on the other hand is running a 496 stroker, zero deck, indy ez heads, full msd ign. system, custom ground cam, and is blowing me away.

so i need to step it up and your here to help me.
working on a budget of about 3000

route i am thinking is full roller with victor heads. people claim the heads are over kill for the cam, yet most dont realize this big block is turning 7500-8500 rpms

his a video for a guide (BTW the red dodge behind me is the one with the indy ez's)

Ya found the right forum .
My first question is, are all you 440 guys running the same intake?
The second thing is you need a SS cheater cam...I don't know anything about them.

i have read some on the ole stock cheater camd cd used to make idk how it performed with over 340 duration. the guy with the stealths i think is running a thermoquad, and the guy with the indys had 5 intakes sent out and flowed and then had the best one ported, he wont give me numbers, but he claims it to be a early 70's smog intake

the flow numbers of the victors seem better with no work to them yet, and idk about the whole oiling lines, i would like to keep it somewhat stock appearing, plus the price tag those srs seem little high

You need a custom ground cam for your motor.Decide on your heads first.Have porting maximized for .200 thru .500 since you have a cam rule.
Hughes engines has done a fair amount of intake research and porting. They do cast iron units as well.Check with Dave and see what he thinks.
Indy EZ'S might be the way to go if you don't want oil lines.
Dwayne(fast 68) is pretty darn good(as are several other members).

You can get a set of EZ'z for under $2000.00 from a few places and that leaves some money left over for the good flat cam and and some iron adjustable rockers.
