While I may just as well end up with a custom ground solid I have always wanted to see how one of the Lunati Voodoo cams would perform.
Motor in question is pump gas 505
10.5-1
ported e-heads
sd intake w/850
HEAVY STREET CAR 4600lbs+
3000 tight 10" likely
3.55 gears
What rpm range could I expect out of the Voodoo 60305
284/292
242/252 @.050
.533/.552
110LS
106IC
Just bench racing here.Is this a good fit for the intended usage and weight of car?I would like to see 5500 max rpm.Worth a try or much better to be had for similar money?
I can go solid just as easy but if I can get close with a hyd and 1.6 rockers I am lazy.Hyd roller is not out of the question but pricey.

Geoarge,

The comp 305 magnum works very well for what you're building.....but I'd be tempted to run the XE 241/247 cause I know that works really well in a heavy 440 car....like high 11's with e-heads and 3.23 gears.

If the Lunati is like the old 240/250 .520/.547 I ran in a 451 low deck that would be a good one too.

600hp would be nice but my intake/carb may limit the hp potential at 505c.i.
550 hp an 600lb ft from 2500-5000 would push the barn with wheels pretty good I believe.
Thanks for the input Bobby and the simulation METAL STORM.
Any areas for signifigant improvement? The intake has been ported(mild) and I am limited on hood clearance(no rpm)unless I cut the hood and redneck it with the tunnel ram I have.
