496 A-body enthusiast Joined: Aug 2013 Posts: 369 Indy	You won't get to 3.900 by going to a 2.000 journal, maybe 3.830. I have a 6.1 crank that I had ground to 3.795 with a 1.888 rod journal, I would have to see the oil passages in a 6.4 crank to see if it could be done

Nascar uses a small journal like that, but I would be more worried about overlap. Also, the nitriding of the crank would be long gone by the time you cut one down that far.
