On a 3 prong switch the middle terminal is the ground for the starter relay. The outer 2 are for reverse lights. So bring power to 1 terminal and the other goes to your trans brake wire. So when you put it into reverse it activates the trans brake.!!!! You can not do it if is a clean neutral valve body.

Ok thanks guys, this sounds like the way I am going to do it but one last question, by activating the transbrake this way how does that affect the delay box by back feeding the 12 volt power.

Not trying to be negative , but what's the big deal about holding in a button on your wheel when backing up. Your hand( hands are on the wheel anyhow) guess I don't understand the issue.

because I am old fat and lazy,,,,it is a bit of a pain trying to back out away from the trailer turn the wheel while trying to pay attention to other cars and people and not take your thumb off the button while criss crossing your arms,, some one said to add a bunch of delay in the box, then I would just forget to take it out and sit on the line waiting to launch for 3 minutes all the while thinking to myself gawd I hope Don don't find out about this. LOL!!

And with a dedicated race only car, that's about all you would need to back up for, is out of the trailer or off the starting line if somebody broke.......or put the button on a detachable cord so you have better control if you have to saw the wheel
