I found a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a bad engine. I have a '99 Jeep Cherokee Classic with a good engine. Are the 4.0 engines (electronics) computer connections going to be the same between '99 and '01? I need this to be plug-n-play. I don't want to spend a lot of time on it....it's work beater, Thank-you

I think you are good to go, if not I believe everything will swap over from one to the other.

My guess is no. I think 2000 was the first year for distributor-less ignition, so the 99 would have a different PCM. I could be wrong but worth researching.
