In the old days (when I worked in a wrecking yard) I would consult the Hollander interchange manual and have the answer...since that job was nearly 30 years ago all I can suggest is that probably as late as a '99 Ram 1500 (I had one) will work as they had drum brakes and I am not sure when they went to disc. But, of course, I could be wrong. So get really friendly with a wrecking yard counterman and have him help you look in his resources (probably a computer nowadays) up

Everything up to 01 should work. Rare to find, but a few 01 trucks got rear discs. After the new body style in 02 the widths changed. And I believe the earlier trucks 93 and under are even narrower. I have been thinking of swapping in an 01 rear end under my 92, but haven't measured it up yet. I want 3.23 gears for my diesel swap, more highway friendly.

More or less the same thing can be done using www.car-part.com. Put in your vehicle specifics, search for the part you have, and see what other year models pop up as interchanging in the list of available parts.

Hollander parts works well also..

check local Craigslist for available parts, lots of rusted wrecked 2nd gens our there for now.

2000 and 2001 Off Road version, used 4:10 gears only, if that is closer to what you want.
