Hi
Just want to share my experience with Borgeson steering box.
Just installed one in my 73 Charger. And it was a true bolt in job wrench Everything fitted perfectly.
Some people are complaining about the need for shims to line up the new box and steering shaft, but I did not need this. The original box had a very small operating angle. Because the new box is smaller the angle needs to be little bit bigger to point towards the steering column and fit perfectly. But this is taken care of in the design so no shims needed up Bought the direct fit coupler from Bergman Auto Craft, so no need for shortening the steering column, just bolt it on My Charger have the big sector shaft and the new pit man arm bolted right on, with the nut fully entering all the threads.
I have another Borgeson steering box installed on another car, GM car, and that was also a true “bolt on” box
wrench And the customer support and service from Peter and Bergman Auto Craft is just top notch up
Will try to post some photos later on...

post number one, hmm.

They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

Well he is from Norway, so we probably can give him some slack.

I had a similar experience to what the OP had. Is my post count high enough?

He's signed up on ForAbodiesOnly and ForBBodies only as well, no posts there. May not be a big forum guy.

I suspect he commented to his supplier how well it went and the supplier asked that he share his experience here. I can't fault either one of them for that. shruggy

I ordered my unit from Peter just so I would not have to put up with the issues some have had. When I called him, he was busy but returned my call promptly and was a pleasure to deal with which makes me happy when I spend the bucks. Personal service with knowledge goes along way in my book.

Peter was great to deal with when I bought a set of the 1.15 torsion bars.

I've purchased the coupler and hoses from him, both work equally well:)

I used Bergman Autocrafts adapters:
AN adapter set:
My box already had the brass inserts for flare fitting, they are o-ring type originaly I think.
Worked like a charm up

another A+ for Bergman Autocraft. I bought 2 PS boxes, one for the Cuda and one for the Duster. Top notch service! Now shortly we will test drive the new box.
