I'm building a 572 pump gas hemi motor for a local customer who has a 1970 Challenger, the K member got stolen out of it in a storage yard and he needs to buy a new one that will work with air ride suspension on the street. help
He wants a tubular K member kit that he can have bolted in and work well with the Hemi motor mounts, headers and all the stock looking under the hood parts like the master cylinder, air conditioning and so on.
He will drive it to a lot of the local shows here in central Oregon east of the Cascade Mountains so it needs to stop and corner well also thumbs
He is more of a show car guy and maybe Pro Street for handling and acceleration devil
All help on this is greatly appreciated, I'm a drag racer and
Mopar Hi Po pump gas street engine builder, not a road race or autocross guy blush
What brands are good and what brands are not good?
Thanks in advance for your help bow Cab

Hey Cab, good to see you drag racers in our neck of the woods!
Unfortunately I have no first hand knowledge of aftermarket K frames but it sounds like an Alter-K-tion would fit that build's needs.

Personally I would just get another stock K-frame & get it fully seam welded and throw it in, as that is what I have in my car.

Hi Cab,
I went the Alterkation route in my '71 'Cuda 528" Hemi, 5 speed. It handles great, lots of room for exhaust and so on. If I were to do it again, I might stick with all Mopar but beef it up with the Firm Feel goodies.

The car owner has decided to go with the Alterkation front end, now to select a good set of front disc brakes work
All suggestions are appreciated thumbs
I hope this customer does not want me to build this car for him shock
I have four of my own to finish, three street cars and a all out go fast drag race car realcrazy

What size front brakes? Bill at RMS has all kinds of wilwood kits you could order at the same time as the suspension. Lots of Mustang II kits will also work.... I have a Kore3 brake kit on my Alterkaion, they mainly do Corvette based rotors and calipers.

I went with the Wilwood brakes, the complete "kit" from Bill at RMS. It will all come in a few boxes with everything you need. It is well thought out, fit without any problems and all details and small parts included.
