I have a nos 3 speed wiper motor from a 74 Polara/Monaco and would like to use it on a 74 Charger. I know I have to swap the harness connector that goes to the bulkhead but I also noticed the park switch plate is rotated 180 degrees on the c-body motor from what the b-body one is. Any input? Can't find much out there on disassembling-assembling these units. Thanks!!

180 degrees seems a lot, you will find 6 different slots on your casing. Now you need to get the little notch on the switch plate in the proper location. I am not sure about 74 model. Here's a few pic that might help you

Thanks! The picture of the motor you posted is what I have that came off the charger, the nos from the c-body actually has the switch plate rotated 180 degrees from your pic. There are two tabs on the switch plate 180 apart. The green and blue wires are opposite, soldered in the same locations on the plate just the hole plate is rotated. I would gladly post a picture but not quite sure how to. I actually found another c-body on eBay and the plate is rotated. I would just like to know if I can spin the one on the nos c-body unit to match the original b- body would it work?

Tried feverishly to get a picture posted of what I have with no luck. Says it is to big and I do not know how to make it smaller. Taken with an iPad.

Pic would sure help. I am not very familiar with late wiper motor. I think they are the same. I would sure try it, rotating the switch plate to see were it will park. If you hook it to your car just dont put the wiper blades. As Bill said use the 116 postion

Thanks Bill for the precision up

If your switch plate has 2 index pointers, use the one without a dot on it locating the switch orientation like one in Stephans picture with the large park lever rivet facing near the ground strap. locate the pointer in correct B body motor location. Use 2983116 for the location & you should be good.

Well I gave up trying to get a picture small enough to post, I know some things about gen 3 b-body mopars but know even less about computers!!! LOL Well any how I turned the switch plate approximately 180 degrees and used that pointer in the charger location per the service manual. Also changed the wiper motor harness to bulkhead connector to the b-body one and it all works GREAT! Thank you everyone.
