Does anyone have a known good contact for getting a custom sway bar made? It's not for mopar, its for my RX-7 with a 3 rotor in it. I need a bar the same overall specs as stock but with a different bend in the middle of it to clear the oil sump where no oil sump use to be. I looked at the nascar style splined bars ,but they aren't going to work, I need something with an offset in the middle. thx

Do you not have a local hot rod shop in Alberta that could make one? I could think of 3 places around Winnipeg that could build it if you can't find someone in your area.

Check out this article on The Hot Rod Network If you are handy with fabbing, or have a local Adult Ed school nearby. HTH, Steve I have the fab capabilities do all the heating and bending but I couldn't find the metal or hardness specs anywhere to get a start, but there it is , all in that article. Most of the sway bar companies were of no help what so ever. I'll buy a couple lengths of 4140 tomorrow and get at it, there is a leaf spring shop that does hardening I know of so I'll ask them if they can heat treat it. Thanks for the replies everyone.

Go for it. Those end links are very much like the ones I used back in the mid '70s on the front bar of my '71 Sebring. It worked great. I forget the dia. of the bar.

Trying to find 5' of 4140 in 1" is proving to be difficult... Found a place to heat treat it though. The shop that heat treats it didn't have any recommendations as to where to find some? Usually I don't see it at local metal supply places. You may have to order some from McMaster which may be expensive. https://www.mcmaster.com/#grade-4140/4142-steel/=14vc6sq

I looked at that option, there was no straight through path for the bar, it had to be offset in the centre as the bar I made is. It's the bulge in the oil pan where the oil pickup tube is for the 20b engine that screws up the path for a straight bar and the fitment of the stock one. And I got to use fire, which made it kinda fun...
