When I bought my car it came with a reproduction window sticker that identifies the car was purchased new at Ainsworth Chrysler Plymouth, 415 Riverside Avenue, Roseville, CA.

Is it possible to confirm if this is the actual dealer where my car was sold new? I assume it is. (Maybe Dan has some info?)

Does anyone have any information on the dealer...like old photos? How about others who's cars were also sold new there?

Thanks everyone.

Rob

Is your original owner's manual in the glove box?

No, unfortunately I don't have the owners manual. If I did, is there something in the manual that has the dealer info?

I use to buy parts from the Dealership when I was a kid. It closed years ago maybe around 1980. It was next to a Dodge Dealership called Diener that closed later maybe 1983. I got my parts book and several other things at the time.

Thanks for the info biggE. I've always wondered about that dealership. I was told that my car was sold there new and the 2nd owner purchased it from the used car lot across the street in the 1971/72 time frame. I always thought it would be cool to see old pics of the dealership when it was in business. I checked Google, and it looks like a rim/tire store now.

Jim - I agree 100%! biggE, any interest in selling? That is a really cool piece of history up I don't have anything from the dealership. Who knows, maybe my car had one on it when it was new.

I couldn't find anything additional, is the dealer number listed on the window sticker?

It is a Y14 car, but because it was built at the LA plant there is no broadcast sheet. Is there any other way to verify?

Rob, I have several local area dealer frames from the time period that I use on my cars. I just thought you'd like seeing it.

Thank you, Chris. That would be really great, either way. beer

Does anyone else have information or stories about Ainsworth?

Check with Jim Gentile in Pleasanton. He has a massive collection of license frames, plates and automotive memorabilia that he sells and trades. Often sets up at Goodguys swap meets.

I called Jim, and unfortunately he doesn't have an Ainsworth frame. The search continues...

Thanks for the tip.

Perhaps check EBay, and set a wish argument for such a frame. There are resellers besides Gentile that specialize in such.

This was found for original selling dealer of our Challenger six pack. The dealership has been operating under differing ownership for many years.

I know you would prefer an original one, but there are places that make custom frames. Here is one I found by Googling "custom license plate frames".

Just a thought/idea.

Rob,

I haven't had time (you know why) to check my own stash, but there is a way to cheat. Normandin Chrysler-Plymouth in San Jose still makes metal frames so if you want a CA frame there you go.

In the meantime I'll work on getting you one from Ainsworth

Chris

An original Six Pack CA car would not have exhaust tips tsk
