So are there any motor mounts out there or am I gonna have to make some for my 4x4?

Also for the throttle body what is everyone doing? My 4.7 has a cable but the 5.7 is drive by wire. Is there a big manual throttle body that will work with the 4.7 computer or do I got to use the 4.7 TB or what? If I go to switching computers then I got to wory about VIN, security and miles programming...

Everyone says its real easy but having a hard time finding anyone that followed this through to completion.

I would think you could get all the parts you need from a Durango or Jeep Commander. I know they both came with Hemi's. The computers can be programmed for mileage.

Motor mounts will need to be made. You maybe able to convert your existing ones to fit the hemi. Not sure if the Dak 4X4 is steel or aluminum.
Mopar has a big TB. expensive @ 500.
Your computer can be re-tuned to run the hemi if you don't use the drive by wire.
Not to sure what year they switch from a 32 reluctor wheel to a 64 on the 4.7. Something to think about.

Aren't the Dakotas the same as the Durangos under the hood and same frame?

Schumacher Creative Services makes conversion Gen 3 hemi motor mounts for 1997-2004 Dakotas. Not sure they will work for a 2007, but probably worth looking into.

1'st generation Durangos were based on the Dakota. They never had the Hemi. 2'nd generation Durango's (~2006) did have the Hemi and were different underneath I believe. Still worth checking as 2'nd generation Durangos also had the 4.7.

I know the 5.7 will swap where a 4.7 was and the computer can be reused (check he number of connectors,3 or 4 as to compatability) I have a 2004 Durango 5.7 Hemi it is a TIGHT fit in the engine compartment!I thought about headers vs the stock log manifolds, but I don't think they will fit at all.I pulled the blown motor and I'm putting in a new long block. Most time consuming engine R&R I have ever done, and I have done many.Everything is in the way of something else.It is an AWD chassis though, which ads to the mix.I would hope yours is 2wd!

Also try DakotaDurango.com under the engine specific thread. "5.7 Hemi "

I am not looking right now but one the bracket bolts to the top of the diff front to back and the other bolts to the top of the diff side to side. My interchange says 01 to 11 dakota front diff interchange and only 01-03 durango will go in the 01 to 11 dakota. For some reason when they changed the durango body in 04 they decided they should change the way the front diff mounts.
