Does anyone know if someone is selling a closer to original rear exhaust hanger plate. The one I'm looking for has two studs that are inserted through the trunk floor from the top to hang the rear portion of the exhaust. The reproductions that I have seen all seem to have a smaller head for the stud that is spot welded to the plate. I would like to find some with closer to original size heads.

You want to verify that LA cars aren't different at the same time.

We could easily have them made if you want.

These are the studs the plates used......also used in other applications by Chrysler

Those are used on the 68-69 Charger header panels. They secure the outer section behind the headlights and are often twisted off in the removal proceed. Is there a source for those?

I was also trying to find a source for the original studs and am not aware of anyone reproducing these either.

I have the original trunk plates in my 70 LA Cuda, and they have the same S-B-5 studs. They are too badly pitted to save, however.

All the reproduction studs pressed into the trunk plates look nothing like the originals in the pictures from Terry.

By the way...Terry, those studs in the picture look familiar wink

Maybe this is an item Dave Walden at ECS would be willing to re-make?

Rob

I'm glad they worked for you Rob.
As stated they were used in a variety of items on Chryslers cars.
The trick is removing them.
