Does any one have a brand name or a part number for a front hitch for a 2000 Dodge 2500 ??? I have a picture of one that mounts under the front tow hooks , but no idea part number or brand name. Looks close to one for a Jeep front end.

Just do a quick google search. I found a whole list for "2000 Dodge Ram front receiver".

Yes, but he wants one to fit with his tow hooks. When I did mine (couldn't find one to work with tow hooks then either) I got a hidden hitch with a couple of loops that could be used as tow hooks. Although they don't look near as sturdy as the factory accessory hooks.

If you're dead set on it working with the hooks I think you'll have to fab something. 2ยข

My guess would be that all the available front receiver hitches probably use the factory mounting holes for the factory tow hooks. I would want to have the receiver mounted against the frame, the you may be able to use longer bolts to hold the tow hooks against the receiver hitch. Be aware that you will probably reduce the amount of capacity the receiver can handle, and use grade 8 bolts, torqued to specs. You may also have to modify your tow hooks to clear the receiver hitch.
If I remember tomorrow, I will look in my receiver hitch book to see if any of the manufacturers make allowances for the tow hooks. Gene

Thanks , check it out for me. Plan for front receiver is part time winch , part time to back in a trailer and part time step to reach under
the hood , using a step plate.( kinda tall truck ).
Figure I would use heavier bolts and mod a few things , cause its a Sport Truck , so I figure I will need to cut a hole or one behind the front plate.

Thanks Frank

I check my book this morning. It is a 2016 version of Ridged Hitch parts book that was updated late in 2016.

None of the Dodge truck listings for a front receiver note an issue with tow hooks, and that is one area they highlight as a possible issue. It did note that some of the Dodge trucks would need a front fascia trimmed or removed.

The front receivers are designed and rated to pull a fully loaded full sized pickup truck with GVW of 9,000+ lbs with a winch mounted on a plate pinned in the receiver hitch. That means a 9,000 lbs truck can be pulled by winch from the receiver hitch. The addition or not, of tow hooks apparently does not effect the capacity of the receiver hitch on the Dodge trucks.

At a quick glance, the suggested retail price of a front receiver hitch is in the $250 range, depending on the size of the truck or mounting requirements of the truck. I did not look up a specific Dodge truck. Gene

The draw tite 65003 will fit the truck. It has recovery loops or find a way to fab yours to fit.
