I am working with an 07 5.7 Gen III. I understand there was a way to mount the coil packs under the intake from an article I read a while back. I can't remember the specifics as to how it was done. I am looking to remote mount the packs on a rack under an Air Grabber air cleaner with no fuel rail and an aluminum 4BBL intake and then run the plug wires to the valve covers. Sort of an old school look. Is it possible to do this?
Is there a stock valve cover with no mount lugs? Just a smooth factory type of valve cover that I can crinkle paint black. I just have the long block right now so there is a clean slate as where I can go.
I want the look of an old Hemi with Dual Plugs at first glance. Any ideas as how to get the look I am seeking is appreciated.

Indy makes an old school valve cover looks just like a black wrinkle gen 2 hemi you can mount the coils under the intake depending on the intake you use then run the wires out to the valve covers I have this setup on a 6.1 with a modman intake and a chrome dome air cleaner EVERYONE at first glance thinks it is a gen 2 Hemi. Can't get pictures to post PM me your email and I will send you a few pics

sixpackgut has the coils under the drag pack intake IIRC...I don;t think you are fitting an Air Grabber under the hood though

I am going to run a low rise intake and mount the coil packs under the air cleaner.
